Before He Was a Rapper, Diddy Rode in a Buggy
Diddy may have grown up in New York, but it doesn’t mean he didn’t gain perspective of a simpler lifestyle early on.
The conversation of his Dutch country childhood experience was sparked by his daughter’s dislike of her rustic summer camp.
When he was a kid, his mother sent him away to live with an Amish family for a summer through the Fresh Air Fund program, which takes underprivileged children out of the city.
On Wednesday night, the rapper sat down with Jimmy Kimmel and told him of the experience. He talked about how he milked cows, picked berries, went to church and yes, rode in a horse and buggy around town.
What is your, “One time at summer camp…” story?
