David McNew/Getty ImagesIn the "WELL DUH" news of the day. Reports are out that Amazon's Alexa is listening to you in more ways than one.

According to a Business Insider report today "One Amazon worker told Bloomberg that each member of this team will listen to as many as 100 clips a day in which Alexa is mistakenly or unintentionally activated. Bloomberg reported that one of these workers will review as many as 1,000 clips in a nine-hour shift."
According to the company they only use these conversations to further develop the products understanding of human speech patterns. There is no personal information that Alexa can access. Such as your name or private information like your S.S. numbers or address.
There is also a report out there that Alexa recorded a sexual assault that is still being looked into. "Two workers with whom Bloomberg spoke detailed what they believed to be a recording of a sexual assault."
In my opinion: after reading this and understanding just what is being said in the article. I don't believe that comfortable with owning an Alexa anymore.
So I ask. Because I own an Alexa device myself.
Are you ok with Amazon listening in on your life to develop their software even further? Or is this a massive invasion of privacy in your mind ?
