Waffle House Is Getting Beer That Smells Like Bacon
If beer and bacon sound like the perfect combo, Waffle House has you covered. Per People, the chain restaurant is teaming up with a Georgia-based company, Oconee Brewing Company, to come out with its own bacon-scented beer.
Waffle House Bacon & Kegs beer is a 6.5 percent ABV red ale.
The brewery talked about the product and said, “The beloved scent of bacon stands out from the typical medium hop aroma of a red ale. The malty sweetness of the base beer blends perfectly with the salty, savory, and smoky bacon extract to create a delicious and unique beer. Bacon & Kegs pairs well with breakfast food items (obviously!) or can be enjoyed as a stand-alone, soon to be iconic beer.”
Bacon & Kegs beer will be available in either a six-pack, on draft, or in to-go growlers. Unfortunately, right now, the product will only be available at the brewery in Greensboro, Georgia. The plan is to start out small, with hopefully a broad distribution to follow.
