Detroit Lions’ Easiest and Most Difficult Games for 2024
The full 2024 NFL schedule is out, and now, Detroit Lions fans must simply wait for the excitement of the season to start in September. So, what are the Detroit Lions’ easiest and most difficult games on the 2024 schedule? Due to the Detroit Lions having such a great run last season, the team’s schedule is more difficult for this upcoming season. That’s a bit disconcerting, but the good news is that the Lions have all their major coaches back and, of course, stars such as Jared Goff, Aidan Hutchinson, Penei Sewell, Amon-Ra St. Brown and more.
Detroit Lions’ Easiest and Most Difficult Games
Let’s start with the easiest games and then move to the most difficult games. Now, there are no easy games in the NFL. I’ve seen way too many incredible upsets to claim that any NFL game is a simple win. So, these could absolutely go the other way. But, in general, these appear to be the most winnable games for the Detroit Lions in 2024.
Easy: Detroit Lions at Arizona Cardinals, Week 3
Sure, this is an away game, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that the Cardinals are weak in all of the right spots for a Lions win. The Lions head to Arizona in Week 3, and they should be able to snag an easy win here.
Easy: Tennessee Titans at Detroit Lions, Week 8
Right in the sweet spot of the season is a little manna from Heaven in the form of the Lions taking on the Titans at home in Week 8. On paper, this looks to be the easiest win for the Lions of the season, and right when they’ll need it. But, of course, things could go either way, so keep your guard up.
Easy: Jacksonville Jaguars at Detroit Lions, Week 11
The Jaguars could be hotter than expected this season, but in general, this matchup looks like a pretty easy win for the Lions. It’s a home game in Week 11, and the Lions’ strengths are pretty much the Jags’ weaknesses, which helps.
Tough: Seattle Seahawks at Detroit Lions, Week 4
Now, onto the most difficult games of the season. The Seahawks have been the thorn in the side of the Detroit Lions for years. We just can’t beat them. The Lions have actually only won once in the teams’ past 10 games. The Seahawks have a new coach, and maybe that will change the chemistry of the team to benefit the Lions, but don’t bet the house on it.
Tough: Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers, Week 9
Why couldn’t the Packers just not have a great quarterback for once in my lifetime? Jordan Love is only getting better, and the Lions’ Week 9 game at Lambeau Field will be a difficult one. I have faith in Goff and company, but it’s likely going to be a struggle.
Tough: Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions, Week 13
If someone had told me the Bears would be stiff competition a year ago, I would have giggled. But, this year, the Bears are shaping up to be a force in the NFC North, and they have a new, star quarterback in Caleb Williams. This Week 13 game at Ford Field could be trouble. This should be one of the most difficult games of the season.
