Shannon’s Scoop: Salvation Army Holiday Help, Takeoff’s Funeral, Rihanna Talks Motherhood, Eminem Drummer

In today’s Shannon’s Scoop let’s chop it up about the Salvation Army taking applications for holiday help, Takeoff’s funeral details, & Rihanna talks new music & motherhood.

  • Salvation Army Holiday Help

    The Salvation Army is now accepting applications from residents in Wayne, Macomb, & Oakland counties for their christmas programs. Families children up to 14 can apply.
    They’ll receive assistance with toys and holiday meals. Senior citizens can get grocery store gift cards as well.

    To apply, applicants must provide:

    -proof of all members living in the household
    -form of identification (driver’s license or state ID) from adults
    -proof that they live in the zip code served by the corps through which they are applying
    -names and ages of children in the household (for assistance with toys)

    You can apply online or by phone but you must through your local salvation army. Please click here for a list of their locations.

  • Takeoff's Funeral

    TakeOff’s funeral service will be held this friday at the 20,000-seat capacity State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Reverend Jesse Curney, III of New Mercies Christian Church will be handling Takeoff’s service, and it will begin promptly at 1:00 pm et.

    Do you think they’ll make an arrest after the funeral toa void any security issues? Guess we’ll have to see how it develops.

    I feel like I never physically hear Rihanna’s voice too much anymore, right? Well, in a recent interview she gave us a glimpse into motherhood.

    And of course she was asked about the superbowl & new music.

    Eminem was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame over the weekend.  You know him & his mom have had a rocky relationship in the past, but she did have this message for him after the ceremony.

    Then I saw this insane video of Nandi Bushell she’s a 12 year old drummer/artist on twitter and she did this cover of “Rap God”.

    She said she’s working on her speed and consistency & I’d say she’s got it!
