While every day in a relationship is important to a couple, there’s one special day that falls on February 14th every single year. You know what I’m talking about. It’s Valentine’s Day. You know when that little guy named Cupid makes an appearance with his bow and arrow of love. It’s a day when we go out of our way to express our love and affection for our partners. We plan special dates, give gifts, and express meaningful words in a card.

Now, I can’t be the only person in a relationship that recognizes that things can come become routine and life can get in the way. Even on this special day, you end up at the same restaurant that you typically go to or life’s been busy so you’re stopping at a store last minute for a gift. It happens to the best of us!

But, it doesn’t have to be this way. You can have a unique Valentine’s Day date that you and your partner will cherish for years to come. Planning for a unique date shows your partner that you have put an effort to make sure that the day is special and meaningful for them. Plus, it’s just a great way to have fun and build your bond by sharing new experiences together.

So, give your loved one a break from the typical dinner and movie date. Add a little excitement to your relationship and check out one of the fun and adventurous date ideas below. I know I plan on taking my husband to the Detroit Distillery Tour. I had the opportunity to visit the facility the other day to learn about their new flavored Paczki’s vodka. They told me about the tour. He loves whiskey, which is their main liquor, so he’s going to remember this forever.
