Once the internet got wind that Nicki Minaj was holding her album ‘Queen’ back a week, many started realizing it will now release the same week as Ariana Grande‘s album.

They addressed this rumor on Twitter, by her posting that they were laughing at “dat,” which many assume is the fact that the two will be positioning to battle it out for the top of the charts.

Others kept commenting, to which Ari replied “jesus is this what’s going on today? imma jus stop logging in at all lmfao. that’s my f***ing sister. she’s clearing a sample. buy and stream queen & sweetener aug 17 bye. these numbers don’t mean as much to the artist as they do to y’all. jus want y’all to listen to the project.”

Ariana has already slowed down on her social media due to so much backlash of her quickie engagement to Pete Davidson.

‘Queen’ and ‘Sweetner’ will both drop August 17.
