Detroit Dog Adoption Event
Well, if you’re looking for a new pup to consider adopting, District 5 Animal Alliance of Detroit is holding a dog adoption event this weekend. The organization helps place dogs in temporary homes when shelters are full. They’re actually looking to adapt out at least 30 dogs. And they say if that goal is met, Canine to Five is going to donate $3,000 to Detroit Animal Care and Control. That event is going to happen from noon until not Sunday at Canine to Five in Midtown on Cass Avenue. So, go help them out and they’re going to make a huge donation! And the animal shelters are definitely in-need because they’re always at capacity. Go get your new best friend this weekend!
RIP Jerry Springer
Listen, here is a sign to do whatever you can on your bucket list. Because for me, on my bucket list, which I will never achieve now, was to go to a live taping of The Jerry Springer Show. Unfortunately, he has passed away at the age of 79 from cancer. Jerry was heavily involved in politics, but he’s most known for his TV show which aired for 27 years. Man, I wanted to chant “Jerry, Jerry, Jerry!” so bad! Seriously, Jerry Springer and Maury Povich were both on my bucket list to just take a day and go to their tapings, but I never did. This morning, Mean Jean was talking about how when you had an early release day from school or you were home sick, you’d look forward to getting to watch Jerry Springer! Funny he said that because I actually thought one day when I was at home sick recently that, apparently I’m grown or I’ve just become boring, because I haven’t tried to find one episode of Jerry Springer and Maury on my sick day off!
JD & Janet Jackson Back Together?
Apparently, everyone is spinning the block when it comes to their exes! First, Ashanti and Nelly. They were performing together and now it seems they’re actually together. And now, Janet Jackson brought out Jermaine Dupri to perform at one of her shows in Atlanta this week. Of course, they were together back in the 2000s for, like, seven years. But he admitted to being unfaithful and reckless during the relationship. So, maybe he’s grown. Well, congratulations to them if they are together. And be better to her, ok Jermaine!
