Rochester Hills: Yates Cider Mills Opening
I know it’s starting to feel like summer around here, and this is typically a fall-type thing that you think of here in Michigan, but who doesn’t like cider and donuts whenever? Yates Cider Mill is opening back up for business tomorrow. They’re going to offer cider and donuts, ice cream, honey, and a bunch of other stuff. Yates is on Avon Road in Rochester Hills. So if you are craving some cider mill stuff, go check them out.
Rihanna’s Baby’s Name
Well, after a year, we finally know what Rihanna and ASAP Rocky’s son’s name is. RZA Athelston Mayers. Yep. Baby RZA was named after RZA from the Wu Tang Clan. And his middle name, Athelston, is actually the same as ASAP’s. I think she’s been dropping hints because she’s been wearing RZA/Wu Tang shirts around town all the time. It made me wonder what the extent of their relationship would have to be in order for her to name their son after that. But, then I found out that ASAP’s real name is Rakim and he was named after the rapper, Rakim. So, it makes sense. Do you think they called RZA to let him know? He probably feels honored, don’t you think? I mean, somebody named their kid after you? That’s a huge honor.
Busta Rhymes Performs with Janet Jackson
Do you remember the song, “What’s it Gonna Be” with Busta Rhymes and, of course, Janet Jackson? Well, he got a chance to come out to her show at Madison Square Garden and perform it with her 25 years after its release.
Busta was interviewed backstage at the concert and explained, “When I got the call from Janet yesterday and we spoke on the phone and she said she would like to have me come out on a set and do this song. It was a little emotional. Actually, it was a lot emotional because I’ve been trying to get this moment to happen with the Queen, with the Royal Empress, for at least 10 years in different situations.” And you know what? For someone who performs all the time, I was surprised to hear him say this, “It was really nerve-wracking. The entire experience. Being on stage with her tonight. I was super nervous tonight. It might be something you might notice later on, and I’m not gonna disclose.” The idea that he still gets nervous was a surprise to me! I love Busta.
