Friends Fan Experience Coming to Metro Detroit
I don’t know if you were a fan of the show Friends back in the day, but I have tons of friends who are definitely huge Friends fans. Well, there’s an interactive experience coming to Metro Detroit. It includes recreated sets from the show, including Monica’s kitchen and the Central Perk Coffee Shop and more. That’s coming to Great Lakes Crossing on Friday, June 30th through September 24th. And if you’re interested in going, it’s $27 plus taxes and fees.
Rick Ross for Mayor?
So, Rick Ross has clashed with the City Council over his car show at his Promise Land ranch in Fayetteville, Georgia because neighbors were super annoyed by it last year and they signed a petition to keep him from holding another one. Well, Rick took to Instagram and here’s what he had to say about it, “Despite what you hear, it’s going down June 3rd. The biggest car and bike show of the year right here in the beautiful city of Fayetteville. I love Fayetteville so much. Next year I’m running for mayor. That’s right. The boss Rick Ross running for mayor of Fayetteville.” Yep. You read that right. He announced he’s going to run for mayor because he wants to see some changes. But he clearly needs help. In a second IG video, Rick said, “What I want to ask some young students that’s in legal school, I want to know a few questions about politics. I wanna know how many votes did it actually take to vote in the mayor of Fayetteville. I need to know that ‘cause we gon’ become that. We gon’ make that happen, and we gonna have a good time. We gon’ give some people opportunities, we gon’ give some people raises and, of course, we gon’ have to clean some people out.” I mean, he sounds like a politician already, right? It kind of reminds me of someone running for student class president who’s like, ‘We’re going to put pop in the cafeteria! Pizza for lunch every day!’ We’ll have to see if Rick actually follows through on running for mayor or if he’s just upset over the push back from City Council on his car show. I remember seeing a news report from last year’s car show at Promise Land and it really was a mess. There were so many people, the neighbors said it took them 30 minutes just to pull out of their own neighborhood. So, I can understand why they’re fighting against it.

Heavy Hitters for Busta’s New Album
Oh, I cannot wait for this. Busta Rhymes has confirmed that he’s lined up Pharrell, Timbaland and Swizz Beatz to oversee production of his new album. Like the top producers around, right? Swizz Beatz was actually the one who made the announcement on his Instagram page. He said, “It’s 2023. My bro got new deals, all new music coming out. I just want to take the time to say I appreciate my brother Busta Rhymes, for his longevity, his distinctive style voice. I wish everybody a long career like him. He’s the biggest deal.” So, Busta actually got in Swizz’s IG comments and said, “I guess it’s time you let the cat out of the bag, huh?” Nothing like somebody else announcing it for you, right? Busta went on to say, “Wait til they hear how we are going to SHIFT THE CULTURE with this album Executive Produced by you @timbaland @pharrell & myself King!! It’s been an incredible process doing this every step of the way with you Kings and we ain’t Stoppin’ NO TIME SOON!! I’ma leave it at that!!” There is no release date yet but Busta has kind of been dropping hints and stuff since 2021 about the album. So, hopefully it’s close to being done!
