Ice Spice Gets Backlash After Allegedly Calling Nicki Minaj ‘Ungrateful’ And ‘Delusional’
Ice Spice (born Isis Gaston) is under fire after allegedly calling Nicki Minaj “ungrateful” and “delusional” in text messages from a former best friend. Baby Storme, who claims to have been very close with the Bronx native, revealed an alleged text message exchange where Spice compares Nicki to her mother, who she says is “ungrateful and delusional.”
However, Baby Storme was not done just yet. The rising singer posted more of the text message thread where Ice says she believes Nicki is jealous that she “owns her masters.”
This is not the first time Baby Storme has come for Ice Spice recently. In more alleged text messages between the two, Stome claims that she is actually the former best friend of the Bronx native and the woman in the video who Spice used as her public best friend.
“this is Cleo,” Baby Storme this is Cleo. the girl she chose to be her ‘best friend to the public.’ when in reality, it was me behind the scenes. Cleo & her are not really best friends. Isis has always hated Cleo. But she used her so she could appear “closer to blackness.” she also lied about being… pic.twitter.com/EMMBuh7M5Q
Storme seemingly proved that she at least knows Ice Spice or has met her when she posted a throwback photo of the two. She captioned the photo, “the next person to be exposed will be my ex ‘best friend,’ Isis. or as y’all know her, ‘Ice Spice.'”
Baby Storme Accuses Ice Spice Of Cheating
In addition to the other accusations, she questions Ice's loyalty and accuses her of cheating on her producer and boyfriend “Riot,” whose real name is Ephrem Lopez.
“EJ, ‘Riot’ is her producer and boyfriend since 2019,” she wrote. “he was the real mastermind behind her career & the one who pushed her to rap. she cheated on him with Tjay & then rapped about it on their song together. if you don’t believe me, just go back & read the lyrics to ‘Gansta boo. [sic]”
She adds: “But this time, read carefully. they were talking about him. she knows no loyalty. not even to the only person who has always been there for her. Riot.”
On the song “Gangsta Boo” Ice Spice raps in the beginning of the song: “A baddie gon’ get what she like (Grrah)/So what’s your sign? ‘Cause I like you (Like)/Got a place we can stay for the night/But I’m too shy to invite you (Grrah)” she adds later in the first verse “Got a man but I hope you don’t care (Care)/
When I’m with him, I wish you was there.”
In October 2023, Ice revealed she was dating someone to the Los Angeles Times but she did not disclose the identity of the person, saying she wanted fans to “keep their focus on what I’m here for, which is music.”
