Rhymefest Says He Beat Eminem In A Rap Battle:
He was then asked about the beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake, and if it had gone too far. While answering the question, Rhymefest mentioned a rap battle that he had with Eminem in the 90s. When asked who won, Rhymefest says he beat Eminem in a rap battle, naturally. The video is available on YouTube, though so you can make that decision for yourself.
The battle happened at Scribble Jam 1997, which was an annual Hip Hop Festival that took place from 1996 – 2009 in Cincinnati. The festival was considered the Hip Hop Woodstock that featured multiple competitions including; freestyle battles, DJ competitions, break dancing contests and more.

In the video Eminem acknowledges that Rhymefest did win the battle, so I cant argue with him on that end. During the interview though, Smith acknowledged that Em won the war, which I also agree with.
