More drama is happening over in Cannes, as Travis Scott, Tyga, and Alexander “AE” Edwards got into a fight in Cannes, France.
While attending promoter Richie Akiva‘s event, Travis, Tyga, AE, and 808 Mafia producer Southside got into a fight during the event on Thursday night (May 23). Per gossip website TMZ, the fight started after both Travis and Tyga were on stage behind the DJ booth.
What Happened At The Fight In Cannes?
After Akiva grabbed the mic to shout out both rappers, sources told the gossip site that Travis seemed angry he was mentioned along with Tyga, possibly since they are both Kylie Jenner’s exes. Then, the “FE!N” rapper grabbed the microphone out of the promoter’s hand, and Edwards said something to Scott. Edwards and Tyga are best friends.
Apparently, after that, Travis approached Tyga’s security with threats, stormed offstage, and then returned with Southside moments later. Southside and AE started fighting each other before Travis pulled AE off Southside and nearly fell off the stage in the process. AE and Travis started fighting across the stage, with chairs flying around. AE and Tyga’s assistants joined in to fight Travis.
Despite the chaotic and dark video footage that has been shared widely across social media, no one in either party was seriously hurt, and security managed to break things up. In the above clip, Richie can also be heard repeatedly saying, “Stop.” He adds, “Please! Stop the violence.” Sources told TMZ that Tyga and Edwards stayed at the event until the early morning as if nothing had happened. Tyga shared a clip to his Instagram Stories hanging out on a boat in Cannes the following morning.
Reacting to the fight video, one fan wrote: “I’m sure Kris is somewhere plotting on how they can make this into a storyline.” Another said, “Kylie got them fighting IKTR.” A third commented: “I thought this was a classy party.” Wondered another, “does their beef have anything to do with kylie jenner.” While another said, “timothee and kylie laughing somewhere far away [laughing emoji].” Another blasted, “I seem to only hear about Tyga when he’s fighting someone more relevant than him.”
Others trolled the video footage quality. One said: “It’s 2024… camera quality should not be this poor.” Another wrote: “People need to start caring about lighting when they record these videos.” A third stated: “the camera man had one f—in job.”
