Michigan Nurse to Sing ‘Amazing Grace’ at Covid-19 Memorial Leading Up to Biden Inauguration
A Michigan nurse whose powerful rendition of “Amazing Grace” at a Livonia hospital went viral last year will perform at a special memorial for those who have lost their lives from the coronavirus (COVID-19). The event is one of many leading up to President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration.
Nurse Lori Marie Key, 29, of Belleville is will perform to sing “Amazing Grace” during a tribute ceremony at 5:30 p.m. tonight (Jan. 19) at the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool.
The memorial will feature 400 lights around the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool to pay tribute to Americans who have lost their lives due to the pandemic.
Others part of the memorial are gospel singer Yolanda Adams, who will sing “Hallelujah,” the archbishop of Washington, Cardinal Wilton Gregory, who will deliver the invocation.
