Jeannie Mai Reveals Baby Monaco Mai Jenkins’ Gender
Jeannie Mai has revealed the gender of she and Jeezy’s first child together on her show The Real.
In a clip previewing Wednesday’s (Jan. 26) episode of the daytime talk show, the new mama revealed the gender of baby Monaco is female.
“That’s the part that I’m still just so overwhelmed with,” Mai said of becoming a girl mom. “I can’t explain to you how many visions jumped into my head this moment I put that little girl into my hands. I thought about my relationship with Mama Mai.”
She added: “That already, I can’t wait to have that bond with Monaco.”
Mai went on to tell her cohosts she feels “chosen” to be able to raise a baby girl.
“There’s just so many reasons why raising a little girl is such an honor to me. I would have been happy with anything, but to have Monaco, I can’t tell you, I feel chosen,” she shared in the clip. “It’s emotional, and I can’t wait to raise a really strong, loving, empathetic, humorous, fashionable, fly, little girl.”
Previously on the show, Mai told her coworkers how Jeezy and her came up with the name Monaco.
“Three years ago Jeannie and Jeezy were talking on a bridge in France,” cohost Adrienne Bailon read. “[discussing] what it meant to do ‘life together here they decided to grow and raise a family together hence they named their child after the city that changed their lives forever.'”
