Chance The Rapper Will Receive BET’s Humanitarian Award
Chance The Rapper is one of the people that will be honored at this year’s BET Awards, which is set to air June 25.
According to Pitchfork, he will be awarded the BET Humanitarian Award, in which past recipients include Quincy Jones, Al Sharpton, and Muhammad Ali. They say that he is being recognized for “positively impacting both local and national communities,” as well as his donations to charities and money that he’s raised for Chicago Public Schools.
With the message Chance tries to promote, and the fact that he’s done so much already for the city that he’s from, people have even hoped that he’d run for an elected office position. Chance For Mayor, anyone?
Congratulations to Chance The Rapper! You totally deserve it, brother!
