A Woman’s Prayer Gets Her $5 Million Lottery Win
A New Jersey woman who prayed for a blessing received a big one. She won a $5 million lottery payoff.
Nonie Briggs plays the New Jersey Lottery regularly. She recently prayed and asked her late mom to help her with an increase.
Not too long after the prayer, Briggs got the call to cover for a co-worker on a weekend shift. On her way in, Briggs stopped for some breakfast and bought a $30 scratch ticket. She scratched and won a free ticket so Briggs got the next one. The second ticket also had a free ticket, so she got a third one.
The third scratcher won Briggs $50. She used $30 to buy one more scratcher. That was the big one. She unveiled the $5 million winning ticket while she was still in the store. The clerk scanned the ticket to verify the win. Briggs immediately called her husband. He was speechless. The family plans to invest the money.
