DaBaby Questioned By Cops In Miami Shooting On Memorial Day
DaBaby is being questioned by Miami police following a shooting late last night that left two people injured — one critically, gossip web site TMZ reports.
Law enforcement told the gossip site that police interviewed the rapper as part of their investigation into the incident, which occurred near several popular Miami Beach restaurants just before midnight. Detectives are reportedly actively following leads in the shooting, and though several people were initially detained, no arrests have been made yet.
Sources told the gossip site that one of the shooting victims has been treated at the hospital and released, but the other remained hospitalized and is listed in critical condition.
DaBaby’s team has yet to respond about the Miami incident.
The rapper posted a video on Instagram yesterday of him performing at a private event at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
Earlier this year, we reported that DaBaby was arrested in Southern California while shopping on Rodeo Drive. DaBaby and three others were exiting a store, and they were stopped by Beverly Hills Police Department officers. The cops searched his vehicle and found a handgun. Apparently someone in the store they were shopping in tipped off authorities and told them that DaBaby and his people had weapons on them.
29-year-old DaBaby was officially charged with carrying a loaded firearm, which is considered a misdemeanor. None of the others with DaBaby were charged. He was taken in custody on the evening of January 7th and was released about two hours after posting a $35,000 bail.
