Plan ahead if you need to travel I-75 this weekend. There’s a huge construction project that will close a large part of the expressway.
Huge Construction Project This Weekend
If you have to travel I-75 this weekend, it will be closing in both directions. This is, like, a big area, from 696 to Square Lake Road. It’s going to start tonight at 11:00 PM. Ramps are going to close at 9:00 PM. That’s going to go on through Monday at 5:00 AM. So, plan ahead for that.
We were sad to learn about the passing of the iconic Tony Bennett this morning. The legendary performer had a career resurgence through his friendship with Lady Gaga. The duo released two albums together.

Unfortunately, news just broke this morning that iconic singer, Tony Bennett, has passed away at the age of 96. It’s just two weeks short of his 97th birthday. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease in 2016. And of course he had a really close relationship with Lady Gaga, who I’m sure is devastated by this news. DJ Khaled held his first-ever golf tournament. He and his celebrity friends raised some big money for charity.
DJ Khaled’s First-Ever Golf Tournament a Huge Success
DJ Khaled had his first ever golf tournament yesterday for his We The Best Foundation. It was a huge success with a ton of celebrities in attendance. Because, obviously, he’s worked with everyone. Diddy, Fat Joe, Ja Rule, Timbaland, Jeezy and so many more joined Khaled on the links. Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus Jordan was there too with his girlfriend Larissa Pippen, who was all over him, Like, can’t he just can’t go hang out with the guys at a tournament? She’s, like, attached at his hip. Uncle Luke was also in attendance. I had no idea that he was the first person to put Khaled on in Miami. Luke said that Khaled was such a community oriented guy and that he’s always giving back. Khaled presented one check for $20,000 to a children’s charity called Fore Life at the golf tournament. They’re a nonprofit organization that uses golf to empower vulnerable youth.
Ludacris’ Chicken + Beer empire grows. He’s opened a second restaurant at LAX airport.
Ludacris Opens New Restaurant at LAX Airport
Congrats to Ludacris. I just love Ludacris. I’m always going to report on anything that he does. Luda has officially opened his second airport restaurant called Chicken + Beer. The first one opened in 2016 at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. This second one is at Los Angeles’ LAX. The restaurants feature “all the flavors of Southern soul food, from fresh made waffles with crispy fried chicken, creamy shrimp and grits, better than your mama’s mac & cheese, greens and more.” Speaking of Ludacris, keep it tuned to 105.1 The Bounce all weekend long because it’s a Free on The 5’s winning weekend and we’ve got your chance to win tickets to see Ludacris, Juvenile and Lil Jon when they come to town!
