Fat Joe has a brand new TV show, Fat Joe Talks, which premieres tonight on STARZ. He caught up with myself and Shannon Renee to talk about the show, we also talked about Fat Joe call from Eminem that caused him not to retire from music and his thoughts on the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show.
Fat Joe From Eminem That Caused Him Not To Retire:
Fat Joe on a call from Eminem while at his mother’s house, unexpectedly. Eminem was hyped that Joe’s decided to come back to music, Eminem told Joe that the fans still recognized his talent. Joe also told us that he’s got a new album, The World Changed on Me, coming out next month, which will be his first solo album since 2010.
Shannon also asked about the rumor that Eminem recorded 30 versions of his verse on the “Lean Back,” remix, which was partially true. Joe said that it was the same verse with multiple deliveries on the verse.
Fat Joe On The City Of Detroit:
With his ties to Eminem, we also asked about his relationship with the city of Detroit. Joe talked about the loyalty of the city. Telling us that everyone he knows from Detroit never leaves. Which just speaks to the toughness of the Motor City, and the people who are from here.
Fat Joe On Fat Joe Talks:
The new show which premieres tonight on STARZ, will feature Fat Joe traveling to his guests and interviewing them. The show came to be when he started doing interviews on Instagram Live during the pandemic.

The first episode features Method Man, who stars on the shows lead in, Power Book II: Ghosts. Other guests on the first season of the show include; Hakeem Jeffries and TI, with his dream guest being, former President Barack Obama.
We also got into him being on campus at my alma mater, UCF last weekend, his thoughts on Super Bowl Halftime controversy and more.
