As the world mourns the loss of Actor Chadwick Boseman, we’d like to celebrate the life of the man who touched so many by bringing life, hope and inspiration to fans around the world.
Among his many roles, Chadwick Boseman played Black icons Jackie Robinson, James Brown and starred in the hit 2018 Marvel cinematic movie Black Panther. At age 43, Boseman died at his home in the Los Angeles area with his wife and family by his side. His family reported Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer four years ago. Although a public figure, he was known to keep quiet about his personal life, choosing not to speak publicly about his diagnosis.

•In October 2019, Page Six, reported Boseman got engaged to his girlfriend, singer Taylor Simone Ledward, and were believed to have gotten married in secret in the months before his death.
•Denzel Washington paid for Chadwick Boseman’s education at Oxford University. “I’ve basically been holding this secret my whole career,” Boseman told Jimmy Fallon in an interview. The Black Panther star said he’s since met Washington in real life and thanked him.
•Chadwick beat out many other actors for the role of Jackie Robinson. Director Brian Helgeland liked Boseman’s bravery and cast him after he had auditioned twice.

•He had a HUGE family. Boseman couldn’t get his whole family into the “Black Panther” premiere. “When my grandmother died, she left 115 grandkids and great grandkids. That was just one side,” he told MR PORTER in an interview.
