Uptick in Cases of Eyelash Lice Prompt Doctor Warnings…
Doctors are warning people who wear eyelash extensions to make sure they are cleaned regularly.
Doctors have noticed an increase in lash lice or Demodex.
*It impacts people who do not wash their eyelash extensions enough…
This type of lice is smaller than head lice or body lice and can jump and be transferred.
Symptoms include redness, itchiness and inflammation.
Treatments include topical ointments, tea tree oil and proper hygiene.
…It also doesn’t hurt to ask your lash tech what their sanitizing process is… if they seem offended, I would think twice about using their services, but that’s just my personal opinion. -Tracy.
