Sean Kingston Arrested on Fraud Charges
Legal Troubles for Sean Kingston
As mentioned in today’s Shannon’s Scoop, Sean Kingston is facing a ton of legal issues of his own. His Florida home was raided, leading to his arrest in California. His mother was also arrested and has been released. According to an attorney for a South Florida entertainment company, Kingston allegedly had a $150,000 entertainment center installed in his home without paying for it. He was arrested on fraud and theft charges related to this incident.
Kingston’s legal woes don’t end there. He’s also accused of grand theft involving half a million dollars in jewelry, a Cadillac Escalade, and a custom bed worth over $80,000. Additionally, he allegedly defrauded banks for more than $45,000, violated probation for trafficking stolen property, and wrote bad checks. Facing 10 different charges, Kingston did not contest his extradition back to Florida, where the raid occurred.
Previous Scamming Allegations
Interestingly, some fans allege that Sean Kingston has a history of scamming, with comments suggesting he’s been involved in previous scams. This recent incident raises questions about how he’s been making money, and whether his luxurious lifestyle is built on dubious practices.
Sean Kingston’s Response
After the raid, but prior to his actual arrest in California, Sean Kingston took to his Instagram story. He posted the following statement: “I am good and so is my mother!.. my lawyers are handling everything as we speak.”
Well, I don’t know about you, but I don’t think he will be getting out any time soon considering he is also on probation currently and has probably violated it at this point.
