The construction contractor for the Polk Penguin Conservation Center put in faulty waterproofing, and about 9 gallons of groundwater are coming into the habitat every day and need to be pumped out!
Luckily, the exhibit will remain open for most of the summer…
It will close September 9 and is not expected to reopen until June 2020.
