Studies Show Healthy Eating At School Helps Kids Learn Better
Kids spend a lot of time at school, and most of them are there for more than six hours a day…
Since they’re at school for so long, they eat as much as half their calories there!
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that children who eat healthy foods at school develop healthier lifelong eating habits and are more ready to learn.
So, it’s up to parents to pack the right stuff in their lunches and snacks to help their kids get a better education!
Research has shown that students with higher grades are more likely to:
- Eat breakfast on all 7 days.
- Eat fruit or drink 100% fruit juice one or more times per day.
- Eat vegetables one or more times per day.
- Drink one or more glasses per day of milk.
- Not drink soda.
So, a healthy lunch and snacks can improve learning!
Fruit is always a solid option for school, but healthy fruit snacks, the kind without added sugar, make a convenient alternative to keep in desks or backpacks.
