Chrissy Teigen Dropped From 3 Department Stores Following Cyberbullying Scandal
Chrissy Teigen’s bullying of Courtney Stodden will cost her a lot: three major department stores have backed out of deals with her.
The Hill reports Teigen’s “Cravings by Chrissy” cookware line has been canceled by Bloomingdales, as well as its parent firm Macy’s. Bloomingdale and Macy’s were planning to sell 31 items of Teigen’s kitchen and dining line in stores but pulled out at the last minute, the media outlet reports. An unnamed source said, “They pretty much had it together … but had to cancel it.”
Target was also supposed to launch the cookware online, but the company has discontinued its partnership with the supermodel as well.
The discontinued deals follow Stodden’s reveal of how severe Teigen's cyberbullying was on social media. Stodden said Teigen “wouldn’t just publicly tweet about wanting me to take ‘a dirt nap’ but would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself. Things like, ‘I can’t wait for you to die.’”
Stodden first made headlines in 2011 when at the age of 16 they wed Doug Hutchison, a 50-year-old acting coach best known for his sadistic prison guard turn in The Green Mile. Though Stodden was underage, their mother signed off on it. Per The Daily Beast, what followed was a media firestorm that branded Stodden as the “teen bride,” becoming an object of widespread scorn and ridicule.
In addition to Stodden, Teigen also attacked child actor Quvenzhané Wallis in 2013, the youngest actress to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in Beasts of the Southern Wild, Newsweek reported.
Teigen has said in since-deleted tweets of the then-9-year-old saying, “Is it okay to call a small child cocky? I am forced to like Quvenzhané Wallis because she’s a child right? Okay fine. Everyone else seems afraid to say it, but that Quvenzhané Wallis is kind of a c—, right?” Though Teigen has apologized on Twitter to Stodden, she has not publicly apologized for what she said about Wallis, nor has Wallis mentioned the incident.

Someone on Twitter noticed Teigen had not apologized to Wallis and said, “Apologize to Quvenzhané Wallis as well. Additionally, you’re still a troll so you might not want to use that in the past tense. I hope this is the day you realize that some things come with their own punishment & that projecting your self-hate onto others isnt “quirky”
