Super Bowl LVI Wrap Up: The Los Angeles Rams Defeat The Cincinnati Bengals
The Los Angeles Rams took on the Cincinnati Bengals for the Super Bowl LVI and were able to overtake the Bengals 23-20.
For the second time in Rams history, the Los Angeles team brought home the Lombardi Trophy in their home stadium. Previously, the Rams won over the Tennessee Titans in 1999.
After Odell Beckham was benched in the first quarter due to injury and landing the first touchdown of the game, the Rams continued to push through. Cooper Kupp, who is the star wide receiver made up for losing Beckham by scoring two touchdowns, one being the game-winning one, and was awarded MVP for his performance.
Aaron Donald, defensive tackle for the Rams, also made key stops on the last drive that secured the win for Los Angeles.
The Rams are led by head coach Sean McVay, defensive coordinator Raheem Morris, and offensive coordinator Kevin O’Connell making the coaching staff’s first time winning the Championship game.
