Megan Thee Stallion Receives Apology From 1501 CEO Carl Crawford
Over the years, we’ve seen Megan Thee Stallion and her label boss Carl Crawford going back and forth on social media. Now the 1501 Certified Entertainment CEO is trying to make amends with the Traumazine rapper.
“Me and Megan, we haven’t talked since 2019,” he explained in a conversation with TMZ. “We’ve been going through, I guess, what you guys see online and it’s unfortunate. Because I never wanted to have a situation where I was, you know, going back and forth with her on the internet.”
He continued: “I never had any problems with Megan Thee Stallion. It’s just the social media stuff. It turned really, really sour. You take this social media part out of it, we don’t have a problem. I’m done with that. You won’t hear me mention Megan Thee Stallion’s name in the media unless I’m doing something like this. Or it’s a big time interview where I have to say it. You not gon’ see me texting or making a post or doing any of that stuff that would cause social media to go crazy.”

Last year, the two butted heads on what was considered an “album” after the rapper dropped Something For Thee Hotties back in October 2021. In a December 2022 ruling, a judge ruled that both Something For The Hotties and her August 2022 LP Traumazine, were contractually considered full-length projects, thus completing her obligations with the label.
Since December, Megan has kept a low profile and has not been active on social media. Many fans speculate it being due to the Tory Lanez trial where he was found guilty of three felonies in the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, per the Associated Press. Those counts included felony assault with a semiautomatic firearm, possession of a concealed, unregistered firearm, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. He faces up to 22 years and eight months in prison and possible deportation to Canada.
