Nicki Minaj To Star in 50 Cent Produced Animated Comic Book Series ‘Lady Danger’
Nicki Minaj is set to executive produce and star in an animated comic book series titled Lady Danger. The animated series is based on the Dark Horse comic book series of the same name. It was written by Alex de Campi, Deadline reports.
Alongside Minaj in the executive producer chair is 50 Cent who has also been tapped in as an EP under his G-Unit Film & TV banner. Brian Sher, and Paul Young & Mike Griffin for Make Good Content will also serve as EPs while Starburns Industries will be the animation studio.
The animated series is set in the year 2075. The publication describes it as follows: “[Lady Danger] follows a government field agent who is left for dead by her team after discovering a dangerous secret, only to be resurrected as Lady Danger, an afrofuturistic ass-kicking Agent of B.O.O.T.I (Bureau of Organized Terrorism Intervention), who must conceal her true identity while she fights villains who are destroying the earth and its vulnerable inhabitants.”
Nicki has dabbled into acting in the past. She’s appeared in The Other Woman (2012), Ice Age: Continental Drift (2014), and 2016’s Barbershop: The Next Cut. Her latest gig was when she voiced Pinky in The Angry Birds Movie 2 in 2019.
