Ice Spice Shares Advice Taylor Swift Gave Her
Ice Spice has learned some valuable advice from Taylor Swift. The “Karma” collaborators have since formed a friendship outside of the studio after they have been seen hanging out at significant events, including the Super Bowl and the MTV VMAs. In a recent interview with Billboard, the Bronx native shared the invaluable advice she had received from the Midnights singer.
“When I was in the studio with Taylor, I’ll never forget that,” the breakout star revealed to the publication. She said, ‘No matter what, just keep making music, and everything will be fine.’
What’s Next For Ice Spice?
Earlier this year, Ice Spice confirmed that her album Y2K is coming.
“Yes, there’s going to be an album,” Ice Spice told co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager on The Today Show. I’m so excited.”
She added that she had ” a crazy collaboration that just got locked in, like two days ago” at the time.
There is no official release date for the album right now, but she told Billboard that she’s proud of what she has so far for the album.
“I think this is some of my best work,” the rapper teased.
So far this year, she has released one single, “Think You The S— (Fart).” Fans believed that she came for Latto on the new track with the lyrics: “I got my foot on the necks, I can’t let up/ She all on the floor, told her to get up,” she raps, seemingly referencing the Atlanta native’s “Put It On Da Floor.”
This is not the first time Ice Spice has seemingly referenced Latto in a song. On “How High?” the Bronx native rapped, “Now she all on the floor when I kick in the door/ How you mad I do less ’cause you gotta do more?”
She also made another seemingly related reference to Latto in “Butterfly Ku.” “Where she at? On the floor/ She gettin’ money, but I’m gettin’ more,” she raps in the song.
