Saginaw Man Runs Detroit Marathon After Losing Over 400 Pounds
Carlos Orosco of Saginaw understands the true meaning of rising to the occasion. Two years ago, at the age of 39, he was told by a doctor that he would be dead by the time he was 41.
Yesterday, at the age when said doctor predicted he would die, Carlos Orosco ran his first marathon.
After that fateful day at the doctor’s office, Orosco made a resolution to change. He had bariatric surgery, quit drinking, gave up fast food and, as he started losing weight, picked up running.
Carlos’ story is an inspiration to us all; he was faced with a horrible prediction from a medical professional, and that motivated him enough to make drastic changes in his life and get healthy.
Congratulations Carlos Orosco! We at 105.1 The Bounce are truly inspired by you!
