Man Wins $150K Suing For His Custom License Plate Name: WHAT DID IT SAY?
A man from Ohio had to sue the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet because they told him he couldn’t customize his license plate to something they felt was offensive and disrespectful. Bennie Hart, who is an atheist, had the custom license since he lived in Ohio but once he moved to Kentucky and wanted the same plate name, they denied him.
Once he took the case to court fighting for his freedom of speech, the suit was granted in his favor and he was given $150,000 to cover the court costs, attorney fees and his custom plate.
