Beyoncé Will Perform ‘Be Alive’ At 2022 Oscars Ceremony
Beyhive: rejoice! Beyoncé will be performing at this year’s Oscar ceremony. The superstar singer and performer, nominated for “Be Alive” from the film King Richard, was among the performers announced Tuesday by the Academy per CNN. This is the first time the 28-time Grammy-winning singer has been nominated for an Academy Award.
Joining Beyoncé is Billie Eilish, who (with Finneas) will be performing the theme from No Time to Die, Reba McEntire, singing “Somehow You Do” from the movie Four Good Days; and Sebastián Yatra, performing “Dos Oruguitas” from Encanto.
Van Morrison, behind the fifth nominated song “Down to Joy,” from Belfast was invited to perform but will unable to attend due to his tour schedule so the song will not be performed at all Deadline reports.
The outlet also reports that “We Don’t Talk About Bruno,” from Encanto will also be part of the show in a big production number although the song is not amongst the Best Original Song contenders.
The Oscars will air live on ABC on Sunday, March 27 at 8 p.m. ET.
