Megan Thee Stallion Shares Suicidal Thoughts During Tory Lanez Trial
On the second day of Tory Lanez’s trial (Dec. 13), Megan Thee Stallion delivered an emotional testimony, The trial is to determine if he shot her in the foot following a pool party at Kylie Jenner’s house in July 2020.
The “Say It” rapper faces three felony charges: one count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm. There is one count of carrying a concealed, loaded, and unregistered firearm in a vehicle. The third charge is of discharging a firearm with gross negligence. If convicted, he faces more than 22 years in prison.
As Megan took the stand yesterday, she was reportedly visibly emotional. She spoke about her depression and suicidal thoughts in court. “I wish he would’ve just shot and killed me if I knew I was going to have to go through this torture,” she said per Billboard.
She recalled the July 2020 night where it ended at a Los Angeles hospital with bullet fragments in her feet. Per the LA Times, Megan was driving away from the party at Jenner’s house with the rapper, his bodyguard and her former longtime friend Kelsey Harris. An argument erupted inside the SUV, where Megan later exited after she said she was “over it,” per NME. The Canadian rapper insisted she “stop lying” to Harris about their alleged sexual relationship.
“I started walking away and I hear Tory yell, ‘Dance, bitch!'” she told the jury, adding that she saw Lanez pointing a gun at her.
“I froze. I just felt shock. I felt hurt. I looked down at my feet and I see all of this blood,” she continued.
“Everything feels blurry,” she added. “Tory was basically telling me I wasn’t s—, and I said,
Actually, you ain’t s—. This is where you at in your career. This is where you at with your music.’ And I feel like that really rubbed him the wrong way.”
The Traumazine rapper also doubled down on the rumor of she and Lanez having a sexual relationship. “It’s disgusting at this point. How could I share my body with somebody who could shoot me?” she told the court.
As we reported, Tory’s trial kicked off on Monday (Dec. 12). The trial is expected to resume today (Dec. 14).
