Nicki Minaj Drops Snippet Of New Song Ahead Of ‘Pink Friday 2’
Nicki Minaj is giving the Barbz a little taste of what’s to come ahead of her Pink Friday 2 release. If the snippet sounds familiar then you are remembering the time when Nicki performed a shorter snippet at the 2023 VMAs.
“I’m who you dying to be. Will somebody get all these groupies a ticket ’cause I’m who they dying to meet?” Nicki raps on the track.
While the snippet plays, photos of Nicki, the vinyl for Pink Friday 2, and hilarious memes cycle through while the rapper goes off on the brag-heavy record. She also dangles a sign for Pink Friday 2, indicating that the song will appear on there and not the potential EP.
Nicki teased a possible EP before the arrival of her fifth studio album over the weekend. “I think an EP with these songs is actually a great idea @RepublicRecords,” Nicki tweeted on Saturday (Nov. 4).
Fans were excited at the possibility and even helped the rapper come up with names for it, such as the “Barbie Pack” or “The Pink EP.” Still, unfortunately, there is no indication as of this writing that that will come to fruition.
Nicki Minaj Pushes Back Pink Friday 2 Again
Nicki has again decided to push back the Pink Friday 2 project as the release date of Nov. 17 would coincide with Lil Wayne and 2Chainz’s collab album Welcome 2 Collegrove.
“I have never in my life been so in love with something that I’m working on,” Nicki said in an Instagram Live video addressing the date change. She said that the album has been in the works for five years. She says the five-year gap between albums is partially due to the writer’s block she had during her pregnancy with her son, who she calls “Papa Bear.”
Her project will arrive on Dec. 8, the rapper’s 41st birthday.
