The upcoming collab will mark the first time Pharrell, Tyler, and 21 all worked together on a song. Tyler and Pharrell worked together on NIGO’s compilation project I Know NIGO! that was released back in March.
All three artists have had a pretty good year. Pharrell has had many credits added to his resume as he co-produced Pusha T’s No. 1 album It’s Almost Dry with Kanye West and was featured on “Neck & Wrist” alongside Jay-Z and Pusha. The superstar producer worked on “Come On, Let’s Go” from NIGO’s compilation project with Tyler who was the featured artist on the track. He also was featured on Jack Harlow’s “Movie Star” from the Kentucky native’s second studio album Come Home The Kids Miss You. The Virginia Beach native announced this year that he is bringing back his Something In The Water festival which is scheduled for Juneteenth weekend in Washington D.C. where Tyler is listed in the lineup.
21 Savage hasn’t made a solo song in 2022 just yet but he was featured on J.I.D.’s “Surround Sound” with Baby Tate which was released in January and will be headling the Bonnaroo Arts and Music Festival later this month. Tyler’s Call Me If You Get Lost won the Best Rap Album award at the Grammy’s this year making it the rapper’s second Grammy win.
“Cash In Cash Out” is set to arrive on June 10.
