Hop Cat Opening in Livonia Offering Free Fries For a Year
If you’ve got the time and you’re hungry, like I always am, make sure you head over to Livonia this Saturday to Hop Cat for their grand opening. Starting at 10:00 AM, the first 100 guests are going to receive free Cosmic Fries for one year. And then other lunch and dinner guests, if you don’t get in on the free fries, are going to receive special gifts while supplies last. This new Hop Cat location will have 50 taps of curated local beer, a full menu and a game room. Plus two patios, one with a fire pit. That’s definitely a spot to check out on Haggerty Road between 6 Mile and 7 Mile Roads. Again, their grand opening is this Saturday at 10:00 AM, but you know people aren’t going to be lined up, like, the night before to try and get those free fries!
Jamie Foxx took to social media to address his well being over the weekend. It was great to finally hear something directly from him.
Jamie Foxx Breaks His Silence
I was so excited to see this over the weekend. Jamie Foxx posted to social media, giving everyone a little bit of an update after his medical issues. Jamie said, “First of all, I want to say thank you to everybody that’s prayed, man, and sent me messages. I cannot even begin to tell you how far it took me and how, how it brought me back. I went through something that I thought I would never, ever go through. And I know a lot of people were waiting, you know, or wanting to hear updates, but to be honest with you, I just didn’t want you to see me like that. man. You know, I want you to see me laughing, having a good time, partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie, television show. I didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was gonna make it through.” It’s so good to hear from him directly. But, of course, the conspiracies started flying because he does look a little bit thinner and paler than he was before. Ice-T posted that people would rather believe that Jamie is now a clone or AI than the man that was seriously sick and almost died. Being sick like that will take it’s toll on you. Monica performed in Detroit over the weekend and jumped into action when she saw a concertgoer being assaulted. Like, literally jumped off the stage!
Monica Jumps Off Stage at Hart Plaza to Defend Woman Being Assaulted
This weekend at Hart Plaza, right here in Detroit, at the Riverfront Music Festival, Monica came to the rescue of a woman in the audience that was being assaulted by another male concertgoer. She actually jumped off stage and was trying to get the situation under control because she said no one was moving in to help. Monica posted online, “I apologized there and I’m apologizing for my actions now. I was so triggered,” because basically, a guy punched another woman in the face and nobody was doing anything. So, she jumped off stage to try and take care of the situation. The festival did say that, “Her actions demonstrated a commitment to safety and respect for her fans, reinforcing our belief that she is just not an extraordinary talent, but an extraordinary individual as well”.
