You can see the Alef Aeronautics Model A Flying Car at the 2023 North American International Detroit Auto Show. Once again, there’s a ton to do around Detroit this weekend.
Looking Ahead To The Weekend in Metro Detroit
If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, there’s lots going on. The Detroit Auto Show that officially opens to the public on Saturday and runs through September 24th. It’s at Huntington Place in Detroit. You can check out what’s new in the automotive and technology industry. I saw they had like flying cars there or something, which is interesting. Definitely something to check out.
Also downtown this weekend, the Detroit Lions have their home opener against Seattle on Sunday. The game starts at 1:00 PM but you know people are going to be down there tailgating well in advance of that. The expectations are definitely high for them to win after beating last year’s Super Bowl winners, the Chiefs, last week. So, good luck to them! Go Lions!
The Flat Rock River Fest happens at Huron Park this weekend. There’s live music, entertainment, kids games, and a huge beer tent. Plus, there’s going to be a fireworks show on Friday. I might have to go check that out. I’m going to be down that way.
And Troy Family Daze starts today and goes all weekend long. There’s food, games, a 5k fun run, music, and even a cute pet contest. That’s happening at the City of Troy campus on West Big Beaver in Troy.
It’s been 27-years since Tupac passed away. His music lives on as he continues to achieve career milestones.
Tupac Beats Out Beatles
Yesterday was the 27th anniversary of Tupac’s death. Well, the day before on Tuesday, his Greatest Hits album became one of Billboard’s longest charting albums of all time. It actually surpassed The Beatles at 791 weeks. I can’t believe it’s been 27 years. He’s been gone longer than he was alive. That sucks. But his music lives on, right?
Ciara had a laugh when asked about co-parenting with Future. The pair share a son, Future Zahir, who’s now 9-years-old.,

Changing gears here, I saw this clip of Ciara yesterday and I just had to share it because it’s hilarious. She’s asked about co-parenting with Future and she said a lot without saying anything at all. She didn’t have to say a word. I would have to say by that laugh, it’s non existent. If there’s one person you could pick to see the “Barbie” movie with, wouldn’t it be Snoop Dogg? He gave the film a glowing review.

I also saw this and I thought it was funny. Snoop seemed to enjoy the “Barbie” movie. I’m gonna say the greenery probably helped.
