“National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” Themed Pop-Up Bar Coming to Royal Oak
A holiday pop-up bar, Griswold’s Hideaway, which is inspired by the film “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation”, is coming to Royal Oak. After Thanksgiving, it’s going to take over the basement of the newly opened Bandit Tavern & Hideaway on Main Street. Bandit Tavern opened last week in the old Jolly Pumpkin location which was a popular spot. Griswold’s Hideaway is going to be decorated for the theme and there will be dancing, DJs, festive themed cocktails, VIP rooms with bottle service, and a large private party space. You can also grab food upstairs at their restaurant. I may have to go check that out. Here’s a link to their website… https://www.bandittavern.com/
Street in Compton Will Be Renamed to Honor Eazy-E
Eazy E from NWA passed away almost 30 years ago now. Well, he’s finally getting a street named after him in Compton. They’re changing Auto Plaza Drive South to Eazy Street on November 22nd. His son, Eric Wright, Jr., said, “To hear our father is being honored during the 50th anniversary of hip-hop is a testament to his impact and legacy in the genre. His contributions to hip-hop music and the entertainment business and culture continue to be recognized and celebrated. And we are truly grateful.” He also said, “We will continue to make sure that our father’s charitable contributions will continue to be our goal through our nonprofit, The Eric Wright Foundation. We truly appreciate the honor.” So, that’s great for them. Here’s a cool video of Eazy-E’s son, who goes by “Lil Eazy-E”, performing with Ice Cube. Chris Brown Releases New Album a Day Early
Chris Brown has a new studio album coming out called “11:11”, and it was supposed to be released on November 11th, but he made an announcement on his Instagram that it was coming out a day early. So, it’s out now. Not on 11/11, which would have made more sense. The album, his 11th studio album, was also only supposed to have 11 tracks, but now it’s at 22 tracks. Like a double-album. I don’t even know. I’m confused. He’s probably confused himself.
