Michigan, Michigan State Basketball: Transfer Portal Update
Michigan and Michigan State are out of March Madness, and transfer portal season is starting.

He added, “Spartan Nation, I am thankful for everything that you guys have done and all the support that you have given me through these past 2 years. I want to also thank Coach Izzo for taking a chance on me and giving me the opportunity to play for this amazing university. With all of this being said, it it time for me to start a new chapter of my career. I will be entering the transfer portal and starting a new journey. – Uno out.”
Brooks played in 30 games during the 2022-23 season. He didn’t appear in any of the Spartans’ NCAA Tournament games. Now, MSU has 12 scholarship players. Upcoming for seniors Tyson Walker and Malik Hall are deciding whether to return for one more year of eligibility. Graduate senior Joey Hauser has stated he won’t return, although he could apply for a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA.
Meanwhile, Michigan has picked up former top-40 recruit Nimari Burnett in the transfer portal. The Wolverines on Thursday (March 30) got a commitment from the former Texas Tech and Alabama guard. Chances are, these are the first of many waves in the transfer portal wars this season.
