White Castle’s Valentine’s Dinner Returns: Reserve Your Table
We’ve barely dipped our toes into January, but if you’ve noticed the pink and red candies already taking over grocery store aisles, then guess what? It’s prime time to start thinking about Valentine’s Day. And White Castle is back with their annual Valentine’s Day dinner. Reservations are now open for this annual event.
Since 1991, White Castle has been hosting couples on Valentine’s Day, transforming participating locations into temporary “Love Castles.” These Love Castles offer the usual White Castle experience but with enhanced lighting, table service, and Valentine’s Day-themed decor. In a news release, Jamie Richardson, vice president at White Castle, expressed anticipation for continuing the tradition, stating, “Celebrating Valentine’s Day at White Castle has become a tradition for romantics and Slider enthusiasts alike. We look forward to opening our doors once again to romance and fun and making this Valentine’s Day another one to savor.”
A White Castle Romance.
For this year’s Love Castle celebration, fans can enjoy the “Love Clutch Collection,” a shareable combo comprising 10 Cheesy Sliders, 20 Chicken Rings, and an entire sack of fries. This exclusive offering will be available at participating restaurants from Friday, February 9, to Sunday, February 18. Richardson added, “Nothing says ‘I love you’ like the Love Clutch Collection.”
The Love Castle celebration takes place between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, and over 300 White Castles are participating in this event. Reservations for this one-night-only experience can be made through the OpenTable platform. For those interested in spending Valentine’s Day with their partner, friends, or loved ones, swift reservations are recommended, as many participating White Castles only accept reservations during these five hours on Valentine’s Day.
White Castle Locations Near You.
According to White Castle’s website, 50 Michigan locations, including Howell, Pontiac, Farmington, Canton, Southfield, Livonia, Oak Park, Redford, Troy, Wayne, Detroit, Ferndale, Warren, and others, accept Valentine’s Day reservations.
In addition to the dining experience, White Castle fans can explore the Valentine’s Day-themed merchandise available on the House of Crave online store. The offerings include a “smooth & luxurious” Love Castle Robe ($60), adorned with the Love Castle logo, sliders, and Cupid. The store also features heart-shaped Love Castle Sunglasses ($9.99), a Love Castle Candy t-shirt ($24.99) with sliders displaying conversation heart-style messages, and a Love Castle Crave t-shirt ($24.99) boldly stating that “Valentine’s Day is for Cravers.”
Common Valentine's Day Mistakes to Avoid
There can be a lot of pressure and expectations around Valentine’s Day. A great Valentine’s Day can be great for a relationship: if handled well, it can take a budding relationship to the next level. Or it can reignite a relationship that is years, or even decades, old.
On the other hand, a poorly executed Valentine’s Day can have significant drawbacks, casting a shadow on a relationship. Failing to invest time in planning a meaningful day or falling short of expectations can lead to feelings of disappointment and resentment.
Who celebrates Valentine’s Day?
Driver Research reveals that Valentine’s Day is celebrated by as many as 52% of consumers. Approximately 224 million roses are grown exclusively for the holiday, and about 3 out of every 10 Americans end up accumulating credit card debt due to their Valentine’s Day spending.
Valentine’s Day Mistakes
Some people set unrealistic expectations for Valentine’s Day, setting themselves up for potential disappointment. But it’s important to realize the day is about celebrating love, not showing off.
Another common pitfall is assuming their partners can read their minds about what they want on Valentine’s Day. It’s better to be clear about your wishes to avoid disappointments.
While gifts are always appreciated, it’s important to remember that the value lies in the thought and effort behind the gift, not the price tag. Social media can exacerbate this pressure, with people flaunting extravagant gifts and experiences. Every relationship is unique, and there’s no need to compare your Valentine’s Day with others.
Additionally, love shouldn’t be confined to a single day a year. Consistently expressing love and appreciation throughout the year can alleviate stress associated with Valentine’s Day. Simple, spontaneous gestures, such as leaving a heartfelt note or a surprise gift, can go a long way in making someone feel loved and appreciated.
If you’ve had a not-so-great Valentine’s Day, learn from it and avoid these common mistakes next time. Take a look at some of the common Valentine’s Day mistakes to steer clear of for a smoother and more enjoyable celebration.
