Travis Scott To Refund Astroworld Attendees, Cancels Vegas Performance
Travis Scott will be issuing refunds to all of the concertgoers who attended his Astroworld festival, which “ended Friday (Nov. 5). This is according to a report by Variety on Monday (Nov. 8). The festival left eight dead and 25 others hospitalized.
Scott will also not be performing at Day N Vegas which he was scheduled to headline Saturday, Nov. 13. Sources describe Scott as “too distraught to play” per the outlet.
According to a report from TMZ on Sunday (Nov. 7), only six of the eight deceased victims have been identified.
Scott along with surprise guest Drake and entertainment company Live Nation are being sued by concertgoers.
Scott released a statement over the weekend per XXL, “I am absolutely devastated by what took place last night. My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival. Houston PD has my total support as they continue to look into the tragic loss of life. I am committed to working together with the Houston community to heal and support the families in need. Thank you to Houston PD, Fire Department and NRG Park for the immediate response and support. Love You All.”
Live Nation also issued a statement per the outlet, “Heartbroken for those lost and impacted at Astroworld last night. We will continue working to provide as much information and assistance as possible to the local authorities as they investigate the situation.”
