Saweetie And H.E.R. Fly High In Visual To “Closer”
Saweetie and H.E.R. are pilots on “Icy Airlines” for the visual to “Closer.” The Bay Area rapper expands her “Icy” brand into an all-ladies airline as they travel in this dreamy cloud-like fantasy. In the visual, Saweetie meets up with a new boyfriend at every destination, which include Paris, Tokyo, and of course, the Philippines. The Bay Area rapper and sponsorship queen also lands perfect product placement aligning with the theme of the video. In the visual you see Saweetie and the girls take sips of water flavoring powder, Ledger hardware wallets, and Bumble, which helps the Icy Princess keep track of her international baes.
The theme of girl power, which is a hallmark of her music, and has made well-received hits with other ladies in the business including Doja Cat in “Best Friend” and Jhene Aiko in “Back to the Streets,” is here as well. The Icy Princess is up for “Best New Artist” and “Best Rap Song” for “Best Friend” at the 2022 Grammys. Fans are still anticipating her debut album Pretty B—- Music which is set to drop sometime this year.
