Detroit 313 Day: Get A Behind The Scenes Tour Of Ford Field
Ten days of the year, Ford Field is home to the Detroit Lions, but the venue has a lot more to offer; hosting the Super Bowl (2006), WrestleMania 23 (2007) and countless concerts over the years. For 313 Day, I was able to get a private tour to learn more about Ford Field and learn about what they have to offer other than Lions football. This summer alone Ford Field will host; Luke Combs, Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran, Morgan Wallen, Taylor Swift, Metallica and WWE SummerSlam.
The location of Ford Field used to be a Hudson’s Department Store, and they kept some of the bricks from that store in while building the stadium. I got to check out the press box, luxury suites, as well as the home and away locker rooms. Another really cool feature of the stadium is that they honor Lions legends of the past, and have all of their logos from over the years. At the end of the tour I even got to come out of the tunnel where the players come out!
Shoutout to my tour guide, Ms. Linda and the Lions Internal Communications Coordinator, Haley Prappas for the tour. To see what events are coming to Ford Field, you can check them out at FordField.com
