Michigan Festival Returns with a Twist
Michigan has so many great festivals during the warm summer months, and some of them have to do with camping, too. I mean, camping and music go together like peanut butter and jelly. Did I really just say that? Let’s pretend that didn’t happen. Anyway, there’s no arguments that Michigan has some great camping spots and great music.
Now, a special music and camping festival is coming to one of Michigan’s favorite and most celebrated forests. The event is set for this summer, and this year brings a twist.
The fourth annual Forest Trail Music Festival is set to bring music and camping to the Manistee National Forest from Aug. 25-27 at 352 W. Forest Trail Road in Free Soil. According to organizers, the musical lineup will feature 19 acts, ranging in genre from folk to Americana to bluegrass and more. Bluegrass outfit Full Cord, from Grand Haven, Michigan, will headline the event. Other acts include The Bootstrap Boys, Cole Hansen, Chirp, The Founding, CrossBow and more.
On top of the live music, the festival will also feature a twist. Other activities will include yoga, craft vendors, food and more. It’s certainly a wide range of entertainment and activates that could make for a fun weekend. Tickets are currently available from the festival’s official website.
