Michigan: What’s Our Most Popular Retro Nickelodeon Show?
If you grew up in the ’80s or ’90s, then Nickelodeon was probably a huge part of your childhood. I remember watching all their programs when I was a kid, and I even remember staying up all night with the dad and watching “Nick at Nite” when I had chicken pox. Man, those were the days. Not the chicken pox part, but the staying up with dad to watch “Nick at Nite” part.
Now, Shaneco.com has put together a study to determine the most popular retro Nickelodeon show in each state. “Cartoons are a common sound in any household with kids on a weekend morning or after school,” they state. “Many kids from the ’90s and early ’00s have graduated from cartoons to shows on the latest and greatest streaming platforms, but they still have their favorite retro cartoons and coming-of-age television shows. For this study, the team at Shane Co. used search interest on Google Trends to map out the top-searched retro Nickelodeon shows in every U.S. state. ”
When it comes to America in general, the most popular Nickelodeon show in the Midwest and the second most searched-for show overall was “The Ren and Stimpy Show,” according to the study. Remember that one? The show ran for five seasons from 1991 to 1995. It was certainly a ’90s favorite. Comedy Central’s reboot will debut in the “near future,” the article points out, via Snipple Animation Studios.
Michigan Nickelodeon Show
As it turns out, “The Ren and Stimpy Show” is also the most popular retro Nickelodeon show in Michigan. It ruled a total of 7 states, with only one show doing better, “Danny Phantom,” which I don’t even remember. Find the full list of the most popular Nickelodeon shows in each state here.
