Costco just bought a 13.4-acre site near the old Northland Center Mall in Southfield. They plan to build a massive 160,000-square-foot shopping warehouse there, catering to business needs. The future Northland City Center project is taking shape, and a key component of it will be the new store from Costco. This development, featuring housing, retail, and restaurants, is currently under construction.
The Friedman Real Estate Group, who worked closely with the seller, Contour Companies of Bloomfield Hills, recently announced the land sale. The deal closed earlier this month, and it’s creating a buzz in the community. Contour Companies is heavily involved in developing Northland City Center, and this sale marks another milestone in the project’s progress.
Did you know that Costco Business Centers have some notable differences compared to regular Costco stores? They cater specifically to business customers by offering products in larger quantities. That means you can find bulk items perfect for stocking up your business. However, unlike regular Costco’s, you won’t find bakeries or pharmacies in Costco Business Centers. They’re designed to meet the unique needs of businesses and provide a convenient shopping experience for them.
Nearly 70% of what they carry can’t be found in a traditional Costco, as reported by Business Insider. Your regular Costco membership card will work at the business centers too! So, whether you’re shopping at a regular Costco store or hitting up one of their business centers, you can use the same membership card without any hassle.
Currently, there are 16 Costco locations in Michigan and 24 Costco Business Center locations nationwide.
