Travis Scott’s Rome Concert Reportedly Leaves 60 Fans Injured
Travis Scott’s concert on Monday (Aug. 7), which was held in Rome, reportedly produced “earthquake-like” levels of movement and reportedly led to 60 people being injured. The concert was held near the historic Colosseum. According to CNN, Italy’s fire service confirmed to the outlet that it received “hundreds of calls from concerned residents who feared there had been an earthquake in the Italian capital.”
As for the reported injuries, “at least 60 people needed medical attention after someone sprayed pepper spray into the concert crowd,” according to Rome’s civil protection department the outlet reports. In addition to the pepper-sprayed victims, a 14-year-old also needed medical attention. He scaled a false wall in an attempt to see the concert for free and was injured after falling 13 feet, the department said.
Amid the alleged chaos, Scott also brought out Kanye West as a surprise performer.
“Only one human being on this mother f—– planet that has ever walked side by side with me through anything and every mother f—— thing,” Scott yelled at the crowd.
Ye hit the stage and performed “Praise God” which features Scott from his 2021 Donda album. He later performed “Can’t Tell Me Nothing,” a staple song in the rapper’s discography.
This marks Ye’s first performance since his antisemitic remarks last year.
On Tuesday (Aug. 8), Scott announced that he would be taking Utopia on the road.

The venues and dates for the tour have yet to be confirmed. According to Pitchfork, Live Nation posted a list of dates on social media on Tuesday morning (Aug. 8) though that post has since been deleted.
Scott originally planned to debut Utopia at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, but it was ultimately canceled due to logistics.
