Cardi B Claims There’s ‘No Album’ Amid Exchange With Troll
Cardi B got into an X (formerly known as Twitter) spat with a troll, and now the Bronx native claims that her sophomore album no longer exists. The critic called out the “Bongos” singer after she allegedly was “lying about a big surprise” she was supposed to announce on Instagram.
“So what was the point of lying about a big surprise when you really playing in our face to stream that man album?” the X user wrote, referring to Offset’s new album Set It Off. “Then go call it a ‘lil surprise’ you will never get the chance to treat us like s— again,” the X user barked back in a follow-up tweet.
The same troll called the Dominican rapper Mexican and tried to come for her about the racist stereotype.
“Cardi the only Mexican I know that don’t work hard,” The X user wrote.
Cardi B commented on the post, writing back in a since-deleted tweet, “Hope you and ur mom die.”
A fan tried to cheer the Invasion of Privacy rapper up and told her to just “get back in the zone” and remember why she fell in love with music in the first place. “I DON’T WANT TO DO MUSIC,” Cardi responded back to the fan. “THERES NO ALBUM,” she declared in a following since-deleted tweet.
Cardi B Gets Real On Why She Has Delayed New Album
Unfortunately, this is not the first time Cardi has had doubts about her music.
“I used to love making music, but now, making music to me has become like a job that gives me anxiety,” Cardi B said on Instagram Live back in December. “Everybody just critiques everything that I do, that it’s just like…you know, sometimes you just don’t want to do something that may give you that much anxiety. So I just be like, “Uh!” — freezing myself but I have to let that go. I have to release more music — I have to go out there.”
Cardi’s latest release is “Bongos” featuring Megan Thee Stallion.
