Usher Breaks Down On Stage After 100 Vegas Shows
Usher celebrated the ending of his 100-show Las Vegas residency over the weekend in a touching way. The 45-year-old “Confessions” singer completed one hundred shows for his “My Way” residency. On Saturday (December 2), a fan posted a video of Usher becoming emotional and dropping to his knees in tears. He was surrounded by dancers and crew during his performance of “Without You.” Once he could compose himself, Usher started singing the 2011 David Guetta hit a capella, joined by his band and the audience. “God bless you, I love you,” he said to the crowd. One person on X wrote: “I don’t think people realize how big of a deal it is for Usher to be a Black male singer with a sold-out residency in Las Vegas. The last time there was this much buzz about a Black man running Vegas was… Sammy Davis Jr. Let that sink in.”

What’s next for Usher after Vegas? As we previously reported, the award-winning artist will be performing the halftime show at the Super Bowl next year. Usher said in a press release, “It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”
